Visit from the Van Metropolitan Women's Assembly to Our Municipality

The Van Metropolitan Municipality Women's Assembly made a meaningful visit to our municipality. The visit was attended by Van Metropolitan Municipality Co-Chair Neslihan Şedal along with the co-chairs and council members of the district municipalities.
Among those present at the visit were; İpekyolu Municipality Co-Chair Canan Uzunay, Muradiye Municipality Co-Chair Hediye Sayıner, Çatak Municipality Co-Chair Gülten Baran, Tuşba Municipality Co-Chair Hanım Akkoş, Başkale Municipality Co-Chair Şengül Polat, and Gürpınar Municipality Co-Chair Mukaddes Karakoç.
During the visit, projects planned to be implemented for women were discussed. The importance of women's more active role in decision-making mechanisms and the strengthening of women's representation was emphasized.
Additionally, mutual exchanges of views were held on the problems faced by women living in the city and proposed solutions to these problems. The visit was productive in terms of developing women-focused initiatives and strengthening inter-institutional cooperation.
Our municipality's co-chairs expressed their gratitude for the kind visit and stated that efforts would continue resolutely for women to have a stronger presence in social, economic, and administrative fields.
