WHAT IS A BUILDING USAGE PERMIT? A building usage permit is a document that shows that the completed buildings are in accordance with the license and its annexes after all technical processes related to the building have been completed, that there are no health or safety issues in its use, and that it contains; license information, construction completion date, title deed registration, address, types, numbers, square meters, classes, and owners of the independent sections, and is issued by the Erciş Municipality Directorate of Urban Planning and Development Building Works unit. CAN'T WE LIVE IN OUR BUILDING WITHOUT A BUILDING USAGE PERMIT? You cannot subscribe to water, electricity, telephone, etc. for your building without obtaining a building usage permit as required by law. WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE REQUIRED TO OBTAIN A BUILDING USAGE PERMIT? 1- Application letter 2- Approved Construction License 3- Title Deed 4- Certificate of non-indebtedness to be obtained from SSK (No Debt Certificate) 5- Shelter, elevator, fire installation reports if available in the construction license 6- Photos taken from the facades of the building in 13x18 cm size HOW TO OBTAIN A BUILDING USAGE PERMIT? To obtain an occupancy report, the construction owner, contractor, or authorized person must apply to our municipality with an application letter. The technical staff of the Building Usage Permit who receive the application will check on-site whether the building has been constructed in accordance with the license and its annexes. If there are no technical deficiencies in the building, the owner or contractor is requested to submit the shelter report from the Civil Defense Directorate and a declaration from the technical responsible of the building stating that it has been constructed in accordance with the license and its annex project under control to the Building Usage Permit unit. For each independent section in buildings with completed files (the documents mentioned above), an application is made to our municipality's Building Works unit with 3 copies of the title deed. After the building usage permit fees and participation shares are collected and a clearance is obtained from the tax office, a Building Usage Permit Document is issued for the independent sections. By applying to the relevant institutions regarding the building usage permit, water, electricity, and telephone subscriptions can also be obtained.
