Born in 1991 in Pay Neighborhood of Erciş district in Van, Güler Temel completed her primary and secondary education in Erciş and her high school education at Bitlis Anadolu High School. She graduated from the Department of Statistics and Computer Science at Karadeniz Technical University.

Temel began her political career by taking an active role in local administrations and was elected as a member of the Erciş Municipality Council and Van Provincial General Council from the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) in the 31 March 2019 Local Government General Elections. During her term, she worked on Gender Equality, Urban Planning, and Women's Commissions.

Between 2020-2022, Temel held a managerial position in the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and was also actively involved in the Women's Commission during the same period. From 2022-2023, she contributed to cultural and social activities by managing the Arsisa Language Research Cultural Center.

Having contributed to the economic and social life of the district by running a business in her hometown of Erciş for many years, Güler Temel speaks Kurdish as her mother tongue and has an intermediate level of English.

Married and a mother of one child, Güler Temel continues to serve Erciş with a people-oriented, participatory, and egalitarian understanding of local governance.
