Hilberî Women's Labor Festival Solidarity Meeting

Co-chairs visiting the stands set up during the festival examined the efforts of women producers on-site and conveyed messages of support. Co-chair of Van Metropolitan Municipality Neslihan Şedal and co-chair of Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Devrim Demir, along with co-chairs and women councilors from İpekyolu, Tuşba, Saray, Edremit, Gürpınar, Başkale, Özalp, Çatak, Çaldıran, Muradiye, Bahçesaray, Gevaş, and Erciş Municipalities came together in the festival area.
As Erciş Municipality, we took our place at the festival, and the stand we opened received intense interest from citizens. At the stand where our efforts supporting women's labor and local production were promoted, visitors came together to exchange ideas on increasing the visibility of women's contributions to production and their labor.
During the visits, discussions were held on women's production processes, handmade products, and their contributions to the local economy, while common views were shared on strengthening women's labor and increasing its visibility. Topics such as sustainable production, marketing opportunities, and the development of women's cooperatives were also evaluated during the meetings held throughout the festival.
Participants emphasized that strengthening the role of women in economic life is one of the fundamental elements of social development, highlighting that inter-municipal solidarity provides significant contributions in this process.
The Hilberî Women's Labor Festival provided an opportunity for women producers to showcase their efforts while concluding with strong messages aimed at strengthening cooperation among local governments and promoting women-focused projects. As Erciş Municipality, we will continue to contribute to efforts supporting women's labor and stand by producer women.
