Erciş Municipality Signs 'Attitude Document Against Violence'
Erciş Municipality, with the signed document, demonstrates its institutional approach against violence and commits to taking all necessary steps for a work life free from violence and harassment. The Attitude Document Against Violence was prepared in accordance with the ILO 190 Policy Document on Preventing Violence and Harassment in the World of Work within the framework of national legislation. With this document, Erciş Municipality declares how it will act against all forms of violence, harassment, and mobbing, including every unit it serves, and that it will never compromise.
The purpose of the attitude document:
- To outline Erciş Municipality's institutional policy against violence, harassment, and mobbing,
- To establish principles by rejecting all forms of violence, harassment, and mobbing without any justification,
- To prevent and subsequently monitor any instances of violence, harassment, and mobbing that may occur within the institutional structure of Erciş Municipality,
- To create a safe environment for all personnel, including civil servants, workers, and contracted staff, within the areas of activity of Erciş Municipality, and to ensure awareness of rights and responsibilities within these areas,
- To create a safe environment in the family and social lives of all personnel, including civil servants, workers, and contracted staff, and to ensure awareness of rights and responsibilities within these areas,
- To define the municipality's responsibilities during and after the reporting process of violence, harassment, and mobbing. To provide a protective, preventive, and restorative tool to prevent and not repeat violence, harassment, and mobbing,
- To outline the paths and methods to be followed in accordance with the stated principles and to prepare an applicable, clear, and updatable guideline to define the scope of violence, harassment, and mobbing. To ensure that the prepared guideline is the basis for all work and processes related to working life, including collective bargaining.
