WOMEN'S LABOR MARKET PROJECT
Erciş Municipality continues to produce projects aimed at ensuring equal participation of women in social life and employment.
The Erciş Municipality Directorate of Women and Family Services, which continues its work on gender equality, has established a "Women's Labor Market" to support women residing in the district who produce handmade products.
The Women's Labor Market, initiated by the Erciş Municipality Directorate of Women and Family Services to support women in taking a more active role in the economic life, will serve as a special platform where local and natural products produced by women's labor are offered for sale.
Women will have the opportunity to sell their products at stands set up every week. The stands will be accessible every week in the area of Delal Women's Solidarity and Life Center.
This project aims not only to contribute to women's economic freedom but also to promote the local culture of Erciş.
Project Details
- Income Support:
- The income generated from the products produced by women is transferred directly to the accounts of the producer women, thus contributing to their economic freedom.
- Natural and Local Products:
- Dried Fruits and Jams: Dried apple, apricot, peach, and plum, as well as natural jams made from these fruits.
- Vinegars and Molasses: Natural products such as apple, grape, and hawthorn vinegar, and grape, apple, and mulberry molasses.
- Traditional Flavors: Traditional tastes such as dumplings, noodles, tarhana, and tomato paste prepared by women's labor.
- Handicrafts and Handworks:
- Handmade Products: Elegant products such as cloth dolls, animal figures, hand-knitted bags, and children's hair clips.
- Traditional Handicrafts: Handmade products such as carved lifewear, vests, cardigans, children's vests, and booties.
