Harvest Abundance at Çelebibağı Women's Urban Garden

In the Çelebibağı Neighborhood, the Women's Urban Garden, implemented by Erciş Municipality to support women's participation in production, enhance solidarity, and make women's labor visible, has completed this year's harvest.

In the garden, which has grown with the labor of women from soil preparation to seedling planting, maintenance, and harvesting; many products were collected, including tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, cucumbers, melons, and watermelons.

Women who harvested in the garden, which they have cared for with great effort for months, shared the abundance of joint production and solidarity while collecting the products they cultivated.

The Women's Urban Garden, where the first harvest was realized last year, continued production this year, strengthening the bond women have established with the land and production. The garden is not only an area where vegetables and fruits are grown; it continues to be a common production space where women produce together, share their experiences, and make their labor visible.

In the garden where seedlings planted by women's labor turned into products, the harvested goods bring abundance to the tables while also enhancing the solidarity created by joint production.

Erciş Municipality will continue its efforts to support and make women's labor visible by ensuring that women play a stronger role in production processes.
