Erciş Women's Urban Garden Opened

The opening of the women's urban garden we established in Çelebibağı Neighborhood has been held. A total of 4,000 seedlings were planted together with women and met the soil. Our municipality held the opening of the women's urban garden to contribute to women's active participation in agricultural production.
The garden, established on an area of 8000 m2 in Çelebibağı Neighborhood, was attended by our Co-Mayor Güler Temel and dozens of women.
Hundreds of seedlings met the soil
Erciş Municipality Co-Mayor Güler Temel stated, "We come from a tradition that gives life to the soil and makes it livable. We know that women were the first to produce from the soil and that they are the pioneers of agriculture. Our aim is to combat women's poverty more comprehensively, to develop the women's economy communally, and to strengthen women's employment."
After the speeches, the opening ribbon was cut. The program continued with folk dances accompanied by music and the planting of seedlings. Women brought hundreds of vegetable seedlings such as tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers together with the soil.
