Call for Environmental Awareness from Erciş Municipality

While the teams of the Erciş Municipality Cleaning Affairs Directorate continue their cleaning efforts uninterruptedly at various points in our district, the images that have emerged in some areas once again show that there is a need for greater sensitivity regarding the environment.

During the work carried out, it was found that despite the garbage containers and underground trash bins being mostly empty, waste was left next to the containers, at the bases of trees, and in surrounding empty areas. These images in common living spaces not only cause environmental pollution but also increase the workload of the municipal teams.

As Erciş Municipality, we continue our efforts for a cleaner and more livable city without interruption. However, a clean Erciş is only possible with the sensitivity shown by all citizens, not just the efforts of the municipal teams.

Inspections revealed that the garbage containers and trash bins located right next to the waste left in the environment were largely empty. This situation indicates that the pollution is not due to a lack of equipment, but unfortunately, a lack of sufficient sensitivity towards the environment.

Every waste left in nature harms the soil, water, and living beings, while also negatively affecting our future. Collecting trash that is randomly left in the environment requires much more time, effort, and labor compared to a regular waste collection system.

We invite all our citizens to be more sensitive towards our environment; we remind you that leaving our trash in trash bins and containers is one of the fundamental responsibilities of protecting our common living spaces.

A clean Erciş is the responsibility of all of us.

Let’s throw our trash in the bins, not on the ground. Let’s protect our nature and our city together.
