Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Asphalt Plant

Erciş Municipality held the groundbreaking ceremony of the Asphalt Plant across from the Van Erciş Highway Fish Weir. The municipal administration aims to reduce the municipality's dependency on external sources and to meet the district's road construction and asphalt needs more quickly with this plant.

'The Role of Women in Social Municipality is Significant'
In her opening speech, Erciş Co-Mayor Güler Temel emphasized the trust the public has shown in them since the 2014 elections and highlighted that this trust has resulted in many important projects. Temel stated, "The role of women and social municipality in the development of Erciş is significant. By ensuring that women are active in every field, we are paving the way for social development. This asphalt plant is one of the best examples of this. We aim for independence both economically and socially. As women, when we participate in governance, we identify the needs of our city in the best way and produce solutions."

'We Witnessed Difficulties in Election Campaigns'
Co-Mayor Baran Bilici, in his speech, pointed out the poor condition of the roads during the election process and stated that their first task is to solve this important issue. "Our municipality has achieved significant work with its own resources. This asphalt plant was also realized with these resources. As we promised, we rolled up our sleeves to solve the fundamental problems of our district. Since we came to power, despite the arbitrary economic sanctions imposed on us, we have implemented many projects that were deemed impossible and continue to do so. With our understanding of social municipality, we govern our city and will continue to progress with this understanding," he expressed.
