A call for gifts and a rally was made to women within the scope of March 8 work

On the occasion of March 8 International Women's Day, our Co-Mayor met with women workers in the textile sector, one of the most important areas of the labor struggle. Thousands of women, whose labor is disregarded and who are condemned to low wages and difficult working conditions, continue to grow their strength through solidarity.

During the visits, it was emphasized that women's labor and resistance have a historically significant place in the Kurdish geography, highlighting that women are not only workers but also pioneers of social change. Their struggle for rights in factories, workshops, and unions is invaluable and cannot be overlooked.

In the conversation with women workers, the need for more solidarity regarding equal pay, safe working environments, and social rights was expressed. The importance of unity and organized struggle against the exploitation of women's labor was emphasized.
It was stated that the labor struggle, which is part of the historical struggle of women's solidarity and the Kurdish women's movement, should be continued. With the awareness of women's power to speak, make decisions, and shape life, the struggle for equality and justice in every field will continue.
